The Vulcan Sauna has been operating for over 30 years in the same place, and it still retains the ambience of the old bathhouses of the 1970s with its good music, shag carpeting, a wild bunk room, a playful steam room, sauna, and a large outdoors smoking and sunning area. Downstairs is the video lounge, locker room, wet areas, and bunkroom. Upstairs you will find about 3 dozen rooms, 4 of them free rooms that you can occupy for just enough time to have some salacious fun, and two more video rooms. The best thing about this place is that they rent room for 12 hour increments for less than $20. This means that out-of-towners can come to play, spend the night, then play again before- checking out. You might ask when is the best time to chase or be chased...well, the truth is that you can always find a bear or admirer there. Some really hot Latino numbers often come to the Vulcan from nearby Tijuana, while the occasional Marine (from the local base) pays a visit to the Vulcan regularly.

It is one of the cleanest and best baths to visit in the USA. In addition to its immaculate facilities, the staff is extremely courteous and attentive to all needs. This is a chubby-friendly establishment. In fact, all types of men are found there. If you get tired and want to sleep in your room, the kind staff will give you a blanket. Five stars! A chubby patron who has been there a number of times on Saturday afternoons and evenings, wrote this: "I went there on a Saturday afternoon and had a hell of a great time! There were a few white chasers, an Asian chaser and some other chubs who were into bigger men. The men at this place were really nice and down to earth.
